Lexington, MA – Spectacle Management is proud to present The Capitol Steps at Cary Memorial Hall on Friday, May 31 at 7:30 pm.

The Capitol Steps have elevated political satire to an art form.  Before The Daily Show, Full Frontal, and The Colbert Report, this Washington, DC-based comedy troupe gave audience laugh cramps with their bipartisan lampooning. Everyone knows there’s no shortage of material on the news at the moment, so it doesn’t matter if you’re a Republican or Democrat, a snowflake or a deplorable: neither side is safe from the group that puts the “MOCK” in Democracy!

Tickets to The Capitol Steps at Cary Memorial Hall on Friday, May 31 at 7:30 pm are $39-$59, and are on sale now at www.caryhalllexington.com, or by calling 1 (800) 657- 8774.

THE CAPITOL STEPS
The Capitol Steps have elevated political satire to an art form.  Before The Daily Show, Full Frontal, and The Colbert Report, this Washington, DC-based comedy troupe gave audience laugh cramps with their bipartisan lampooning.  The Capitol Steps began in 1981 as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize their employers, and they haven’t let up since.

For all the ups and downs of the national news cycle, there has arguably never been a time in American history more ripe for satire, and The Capitol Steps know it. With rousing renditions of “The Sounds of Sanders,” “I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major Liberal,” “I Like Big Cuts,” “Stormy Daniels,” and more, it doesn’t matter if you’re a Republican or Democrat, a snowflake or a deplorable:  neither side is safe from the group that puts the “MOCK” in Democracy!
